Here is a little info about our Instructors

Gordon Shaw C.F.I. (Flexwing & Fixed Wing)

I started my Flying Career at an early age standing on a windy cliff top launching my father in a Hanglider. I then had a go but it was quite short lived due to Girls, beer ect ! I did however join the ATC 1331 Squadron at RAF Wattisham and did all the usual gliding, flying Chipmunks and Bull Dogs. I then left flying alone for a number of years until my late twenties when I went and had a Trial Flight in a Microlight with Dave Garrison at Pegasus Flight Training down at Sutton Meadows in Cambridgeshire. I was hooked and Dave and his Son Sean taught me to fly Flexwing Microlights. I bought myself a Pegasus Quantum 912 and went exploring !. I built up quite a lot of hours in the next few years travelling around the UK and europe, mainly France. I also became chairman of the Cambridgeshire Microlight Club and along with the other club members raised a lot of money for charity. I had always decided I wanted to become an instructor but business commitments always got in the way that was until 2006 when I decided that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I booked myself on a course to Gerry Breens school down in Lagos Portugal and spent the next month working my socks off, very often 12 hours a day !! I had my exams down there and come back to the UK an AFI (Assistant Flying Instructor).
